Tammy Royal – G’Kidz Leader

Tammy Royal brings a lifelong passion for children and a deep love for the Lord to her role as G’Kidz Leader at Grace Life Family Church. Born and raised near Niagara Falls, New York, she grew up in a strong church-going family as one of eight children. Her faith journey began early, and she was water baptized at the age of eight in Lake Ontario during a church camp in Western New York.

With over 25 years of experience in elementary and special needs education across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, Tammy is a retired educator who has dedicated her life to nurturing and developing young lives. She holds associate degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education Training, along with her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential earned in 1991. Her professional background includes extensive training in working with children on the autism spectrum and those facing unique learning challenges.

Tammy’s ministry to children began at just 14 years old, teaching preschoolers in her home church—and she has faithfully continued serving ever since. She has held numerous leadership roles, including VBS Coordinator and Children’s Church Director, Sunday School teacher for preschool through 5th grade, and leadership positions in church-based childcare programs. She has also served as a CASA volunteer in both Kansas and Oklahoma, advocating for children in need.

Since April 2017, Tammy has been joyfully married to Robert J. Royal, Jr. Together, they are richly blessed with a growing family of “bonus” children and grandchildren whom she treasures deeply.

Tammy’s life and ministry are beautifully reflected in Isaiah 54:1 celebrating the abundant spiritual family God has entrusted to her care. Her heart is to see every child know they are loved, valued, and created with purpose in Christ.
