Overview: 2025 Missions Trip to Lima, Peru

What an unforgettable week in Lima, Peru! 🇵🇪 From the moment Pastor Chris Sarno, Derrick Jones, and I (Pastor Darrell Alexander) stepped off the plane, the presence of God began to move. This trip was a perfect blend of ministry, culture, and spiritual renewal.

After a long—but blessed—flight, we arrived in the vibrant city of Lima. The sounds of the city brought back memories, especially as we visited the neighborhood where Pastor Donnia and I once lived. Introducing Derrick to the heartbeat of Peru was a joy. (He’s still raving about the coffee—and Inca Kola! ☕🫧)

Ministry began right away with services at Reinando en Cristo Church, pastored by our dear friend Pastor Virgilio Rivera, affectionately known as Pastor Billy. The presence of the Lord was tangible from the first night. Pastor Chris ministered powerfully on healing and identity in Christ, with services morning and evening through Friday. The Spirit of God moved freely—healings, joy, and breakthrough swept through the people like a refreshing wind.

On Friday and Saturday, I had the honor of ministering five times. God moved boldly through the Word, and hearts were stirred for deeper faith. Derrick served faithfully throughout the week in the altars, behind the scenes, and wherever needed—his heart for ministry was a blessing to all.

In between services, we experienced the unique culture of Lima—especially the incredible Chinese-Peruvian fusion food, local markets, and oceanfront sights at La Comar. But the real highlight? Seeing lives transformed by the power of God—ours included.

This trip was a clear reminder: when you go to serve, you come back changed.
